“The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you see one more card
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part…”–Tom Petty

Waiting…
for new life
for an offer
for a season
for a sign
for a miracle
for a change
for a chance
to be asked
for the right words
for an answer
for an end
for justice
for news
for a beginning
…can be difficult.
Yesterday, we had a goodbye lunch with the fabulous staff from Community Fellowship.
Sunday will be our last day at a church we have loved and served at for the past twelve years.
Then…we officially begin our waiting, transitioning, developing, relearning, and upstarting this new season of life (not to mention, a whole new church- WHEW!)
I keep repeating the words of the father from the book of Mark–a man desperately waiting to see his child healed–
“Lord I believe; help my unbelief.”
We wait. We hope. We say goodbyes. We transition. We wait again.
But, we do so surrounded in an unshakable, solid, and trustworthy God.
Lord, we believe; help our unbelief.
